I am a graduate student in Geography at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, working with Erika Marín-Spiotta (lab website). My broad academic interests are in ecosystem ecology and biogeochemistry. Specifically I am interested in how human activity and global change influences ecosystem processes and biogeochemical cycles. Currently I focus mostly on tropical terrestrial systems, although my past experience has taken me from the equator to the Arctic, and from lakes and rivers to mountain tops.
In my free time I spend as much time as possible outdoors, canoeing, hiking, camping, fishing, and birdwatching.
